Z is for Zeppelin

Z is for Zeppelin.  This happens to be my favorite page, as I’m a diehard fan of Led Zeppelin.  However, the children need quite a bit of schema-building for this letter.  For helping the children learn what a zeppelin is, a helium balloon can be used.  It’s fun to draw windows, passengers and a pilot on it with marker.  I’ve also used this video:

One large oval and three small triangles make the structure of the zeppelin.  After pasted down, the children can draw the lines indicating dimension.

Do you have other ideas for helping children build an understanding of a zeppelin?  Leave a comment!
